Dr. Darren Edelist has over 20 years of clinical experience. He specializes in working with athletes across all age groups and disciplines. Dr. Edelist has worked with Ryerson University Sports, the Council of Amateur Sport Kickboxing, Judo Ontario, the Mississauga Ice Dogs, Canada’s National Ballet School, and the Toronto and Mississauga Marathons.

Injection Therapy
Managed by our Sports Medicine Doctor, Injections are used to help with any pain you are experiencing, specifically relieving pain and inflammation into areas such as ankles, elbows, hips, knees, shoulders, spine or wrists.
Exercise Prescription
Integral to our approach of addressing the root cause of your issues and getting you back to your activity of choice, we will prescribe exercises that help you re-build strength, alleviate issues, and resolve the root causes of your physical challenges.
Custom Foot Orthotics
Orthotics are custom made shoe inserts designed to treat one’s foot biomechanics. Poor foot biomechanics may lead to foot, ankle, shin, knee, hip and/or back pain. Orthotic insoles can be simple, generic devices which are sold over the counter in stores.The best orthotics, however, are custom-molded orthotics specially crafted to meet the needs of a particular individual.

Active Release Therapy
ART provides a way to diagnose and treat the underlying causes of cumulative trauma disorders that result in symptoms of numbness, tingling, burning and aching. ART is a type of manual hands-on therapy that corrects muscular and soft tissue problems caused by adhesion formation as a result of injury, overuse or cumulative trauma.
Dry Needling & Medical Acupuncture
Medical acupuncture is an effective treatment approach aimed at reducing pain, improving function and increasing muscle activation. During this treatment, a thin, single use needle is carefully guided into the skin and specific tissues. The needle stimulates the release of the body’s own painkillers, such as endorphins.
Massage Therapy
Our in-clinic Registered Massage Therapist will use their hands-on approach to work on your issues. In addition, they’ll remain coordinated with the LSM team and any other therapists who might be working with you to provide the most impactful and integrated care for you.
